I think my expectations were too high. It was an okay read. Old fashioned for sure. I still feel like he loved his wife more than her. I know you love people differently, they have a different part of your heart, blah blah... but I don't like feeling like the heroine was a consolation prize, one that wasn't really wanted.Product details

Regan helps Kenna to try and get his brother to notice her as more than just his secretary and friend. But it backfires on him. Wonderful story.
I had read this book as a teenager and feel in love with Diana Palmer's story telling. So grateful that I have it on my kindle now.
This book reminds me of my late husband. He was ruggedly handsome, and and he made proud to be wife, I always knew he loved me, and I never wondered. It was the best twenty plus years that blessed me with. Some parts of the book I laugh and cried and it brought back memories, so thank for that.

Very intense book. Very different from the movie I watched. I enjoyed the book much better then the movie. Because there was more to the story then him being a aggressive men. He loves with passion and cares deeply for ones he loves.
Quick read. This was a quick and entertaining book. It is a little dated but that doesn't take away from enjoying this book.
What's not to like about this classic romance (besides the rampant sexism)? If you can ignore the problematic natures of both the hero and the heroine, you'll enjoy this tale of them coming together.
This is a great story. It is a little dated, but the characters are well written. I loved how Kenna and Regan didn't get along. I enjoyed Kenna's humor. I was not sure if Kenna would end up with Denny or his stepbrother Regan. I enjoyed how Regan was Kenna's fairy godfather like helper to do her makeover. I was unsure if Regan had any feelings for her. I couldn't put the book down.
