Thousands of years ago, the realm of Ashur was drowned by Darian, Harbinger of the god Orijin, to save it from the evil Red Harbinger, Jahmash. But the prophecies say Jahmash will return—and only Darian’s chosen Descendants, those who bear a black line on their face, can save mankind.
Baltaszar An untried lad from a hidden village. He must find the House of Darian to learn how to use his mysterious powers.
Marshall The last of a race of warriors slaughtered by Jahmash’s army. Will the other Descendants help him avenge his family and his race?
Prince Garrison He spent years following his father, the king’s orders to kill all who bear the mark of Darian—even though he bears it himself. Can the other Descendants accept him? Or will they kill him?
Time is running short for the Descendants. Hunted by the people they are supposed to protect, can they save Ashur from its greatest threat The Red Harbinger?

Rise of the Red Harbinger The Drowned Realm Book 1 eBook Khalid Uddin

This book kept me up at night and had me dreaming of Ashur. Khalid Uddin is a masterful storyteller and knows how to keep his readers engaged. The plot sets a steady pace that hooks you long before you realize how engrossed you've become. The characters are well-drawn and complex, with so much depth and dimension that it's much harder to choose a favorite than to feel invested in their lives. As always with a strong series, no sooner did I finish the last paragraph than I was anxious for the next installment. I can't wait to read the next book and will be highly recommending this series to all fantasy and adventure fans.

Rise of the Red Harbinger The Drowned Realm Book 1 eBook Khalid Uddin Reviews

Great debut from a new author in fantasy. The story grew steadily, with good character development leading to an exciting and suspenseful end. Which I believe is more of the beginning of what will be a fantastic series! Lets hope we don't have another Rothfuss or Martin and the sequel comes out soon!
The author does a wonderful job keeping the story moving, while describing the characters and geography perfectly. Some books can lose you in their page filler descriptions, but this was not that type of book. It kept your interest and was a quick read. Cant wait for more. Truly was impressed with this and look forward to the next.
Having had Mr. Uddin as a high school English teacher (still cant call him Khalid) I've been looking forward to this read for a while now, and I can honestly say, so worth the wait. I read it in 2 days, and have to say the characters and the world they're set in truly enthralled me and left me angry that I now have to wait for the next book in the series, as I just want to tear into it now
A wonderful series from a great story teller! The world of Ashur is masterfully created by Khalid and revealed to the reader throughtout each chapter and characters

An entertaining read that I would highly recommend from a fresh and engaging voice in the fantasy genre

Looking forward to the next book!
OK, I can't wait for the next book in this series. Khalid Uddin's storytelling has gotten me back into reading for enjoyment. Early on, I was hooked by the characters and this world, (there's a map, awesome!), emotionally invested in their individual stories and hungrily consuming pictures and situations being painted. I will be recommending this book to friends and fam.
This is an amazing fantasy novel for those looking for something new and fresh that isn't the same retread of fantasy. A gripping plot, a grand mythology that's biblical in nature, and numerous plot twists that keep you guessing. This is a story any fantasy lover should read.
This book was recommended to me by a friend, and I loved it! I usually have a hard time getting into books because the plot needs to catch my attention from the beginning. I am a Harry Potter lover and I like fiction books that have intriguing plots and in-depth character development. This book will not disappoint you if you like those as well! Surprises come around every corner, and it'll have you wondering what is going to happen next! I can't wait for the next book!
